Community Organizations Offer Rides to the Polls

Ahead of Tuesday's election, community groups around the Pittsbrugh region are offering rides at free or reduced costs. Check below for information about securing rides to your polling place:

Take Action Mon Valley (TAMV)

The non-profit will provide Allegheny County voters in McKeesport, Duquesne, Clairton, Braddock, Rankin, West Mifflin, and nearby communities. Rides will be provides via Lyft, Uber, or in a volunteer's vehicle.

Black Political Empowerment Project (B-PEP)

B-PEP is offering free transportation to polling places on Election Day. B-PEP is asking all riders to wear a mask, use hand sanitizer, sit in the back seat on the passenger side, roll down a window to maximize fresh air flow, and have no more than one rider per car, or three riders per van.

Voter Empowerment Education & Enrichment Movement (VEEEM)

VEEEM is a non-profit, non-partisan, faith-based organization dedicated to increasing voter turnout. The organization is offering rides to the polls on Election Day.

NAACP Washington County

Free rides are being offered by NAACP Washington County on Election Day. Visit NAACPWASHPA.org for more information.

Uber

The ride share app is offering 50 percent off roundtrip rides to polling places, up to $7 for a one-way trip and $14 for a round-trip.

The ride share app is offering 50 percent off roundtrip rides to polling places, up to $10 per trip.
